Industry speakers line-up for new forum launch - 07/2001

An impressive and varied line-up of guest speakers is being assembled at the Institute of Directors in London on 19th July for the inaugural one-day conference to launch Resource, the new forum for the recruitment industry. Resource will provide Directors and recruitment professionals with a quarterly forum. Experts from a wide range of business practices will be on hand to give briefings on current issues within the industry, which will then be opened to the floor for discussion.

Joining chairperson, Tanya Beckett, BBC Business News Correspondent, will be the following speakers: Chris Leonard, founder and CEO of Tempz.com and former managing director of Securicor Recruitment Services; Marilyn Davidson, managing director of The Curve, the leading training company for recruitment professionals; Marcia Roberts, the RECís director of External Affairs; David Von Hagen, Head of the Employment Group law firm DJ Freeman.
Using all available forms of communication, particularly events, seminars and a dedicated website, Resource provides the industry with a medium for widespread communication and exchange of ideas between professional recruiters, candidates, employers and others associated with the business of recruitment. The Resource website is designed to give access to quality information, training providers, discussion groups and generally facilitate industry networking. Our speaker line-up covers a wide range of issues facing the industry today. The Q & A sessions will mean that those who attend will have the opportunity to contribute as well. We are hoping that together in Resource we can work to raise the overall industry profile in a positive way.
