How to recruit with brochures in this digital area

It is commonly known amongst recruiters that people are using social media like LinkedIn more and more to search for a new job. But, although we live in a digital age in which it seems that everything moves around the internet, often the most successful way to recruit new personal is still with marketing tools that we can touch.

Offline marketing tools, such as brochure printing, can be, for several reasons, an effective option to use as a recruiter. So, why are brochures still in full swing next to online marketing tools? For one, brochures are something touchable. This may seem trivial, but if you can show a profile of a company presented in an attractive way on paper, it will surely arouse the interest of people to whom you show it. People tend to look at what they are given; mostly simply out of curiosity to see what it is about. Use this interest to present a portfolio of employees and jobs that at first sight might not attract the attention of potential candidates.

Brochures as a tool to build personal relationships

Also, presenting companies in a brochure that you can give to somebody is a more personal way to recruit. It is quite possible that the attention of a possible candidate will be caught even if you don´t have a suitable job for him or her at this moment. They may contact you again in the future because of the positive image they keep. That a brochure is physical also means that it will always be there. If you give it away to someone and they take it home, or keep it to write things down on, it will always be present. It will be there to remind them of the owner of the company that is responsible for it. So don´t forget to use the opportunity to also present the recruitment company in the brochure, offering potential candidates the change to stay in contact.

A lasting communication

It is true that advertising on internet, in cases, can reach more people than using offline tools and personal contacts. However, due to the saturation that exists on the web, it is more likely that job seekers end up ignoring all the advertisements or get a feeling that recruiters are stalking them. Brochures also tend to offer more confidence to a public than internet advertisements. It is well known that advertisements are circling the internet with misleading information. Because of them, people often fear other offers as well, to avoid being the victim of a scam.

To conclude, brochures offer an interesting opportunity for recruiters to present companies in an attractive way and to build long lasting client relationships.
