HotJobs set to debut Super Bowl ad; Company's new 'Parrot' spot urges jobseekers to 'Find Your Fit'

.

HotJobs.com debuted its new Super Bowl TV commercial during the third quarter of this year's game on February 3. It is the fourth consecutive year in which HotJobs will appear in the Super Bowl.

The new 30-second spot opens on a job interview in progress. The catch: The candidate repeats, verbatim, each question the interviewer asks. The spot closes with the candidate now on the job - as a court stenographer. The message: Find Your Fit.

People realize life is precious, so they're focused on finding fulfilling jobs that reflect who they are as individuals, said Dimitri Boylan, president and CEO, HotJobs. For jobseekers, our Super Bowl ad is instructive on several levels. It reminds people that you have to demonstrate what you're good at and make a strong connection with the hiring manager. These strategies are especially important in today's job market.

Following the airing of last year's Super Bowl spot, HotJobs posted a record number of visitors to its site. On the day after the game, HotJobs.com hit an all-time high of over 10 million page views - a 121% increase over the previous Monday and an 80% increase over the site average for the same period the year before.

The Super Bowl has enabled us to attract record gains in the number of visitors and resume postings to our site each year, said Marc Karasu, vice president, advertising and marketing, HotJobs. It's the one television event where as much attention is paid to the commercials as the program.
In its first Super Bowl foray in 1999, the company invested half its annual revenue to have a presence in what has become television's premier advertising showcase.
