.

eMarketer reports that half of households in Hong Kong now have Internet access.

This is according to the Census and Statistics Department of Hong Kong.

The Department found that in June of this year, 61 percent of families, or 1.26 million families, in Hong Kong owned a home computer, and 50 percent had home Internet access.

The Department also found, however, that the proportion of companies in Hong Kong that own computers fell to 50 percent, down from 52 percent last year.
