The Guardian Media Group has launched workthing.com, which it claimed is ìthe first website dedicated to the creation of a complete employment networkî. The service is expected to be more than just a recruitment site ñ offerings advice and added value services. In fact the site is intended to be quite separate to other brands of the Guardian.
Commenting on the new website, Bob Phillis, Chairman of Guardian Newspapers who will take the role of Chairman of workthing.com, said that the group ìis committed to building workthing.com into a broad-based employment brand which will complement the strengths of the Fish4 and Guardian Unlimited networks.î
