Graduate recruitment: strategies for the net generation - 04/2001

Changework Now seminar

Rapid and exponential growth in the use of the Internet has caused many organisations to evaluate their recruitment practices. Graduate recruiters in particular have had to update their recruiting strategies - nearly 90% of last year's graduates looked to the web in their search for jobs.

Changework Now Ltd are hosting a free breakfast seminar to explore the current trends in graduate recruitment and how technology is having a significant impact on the strategies that organisations are employing in their search for the best candidates. It will also be a good opportunity to network with other HR professionals with graduate responsibilities.

Through a combination of case studies, expert presentations and discussions the seminar will include a summary of the latest research and trends, the expectations of graduates as they search for employment, and the latest web based technologies that companies are adopting to enhance the overall process. There are two invited speakers:
Dr Allayne Amos - business psychologist, carried out the latest research on online recruitment for the Association of Graduate Recruiters. Allayne will talk about how the attitudes of the net generation are changing the shape of the graduate recruitment process.

James Mitchell - Arcadia Group PLC is responsible for the recruitment of graduates at the UKs second largest fashion retailer. Hear about Arcadia's perspective on graduate recruitment and the net generation.

The seminar will take place on Thursday 26th April at the Institute of Directors, 116 Pall Mall, London from 8.45am - 10.45am. To register please visit the website:
