GoJobsite voted one of UKs top Internet brands - 02/2001

Gojobsite selected as brand leader

GoJobsite, the UKs premier online multi-sector recruitment company, has been voted one of Britain's strongest online brands by the Superbrands eCouncil - a panel of some of the Internet's most influential figures.

GoJobsite was selected as an 'eBrandLeader' from a shortlist of over 500 companies, in a judging process that takes into account market share, marketing, online presence and the quality of the service offered. Other eBrandLeaders include AOL, Pipex.com, iii.co.uk, Zdnet.co.uk and Nua.

The judging panel included Tim Duffy (MD M&C Saatchi), William Pulver (president of ACNielsen e Ratings.com), Richard Lord (editor Revolution magazine), Mike Nutley (editor New Media Age magazine), and Dave Wilby (technical editor Internet magazine), Tim Ledgard (head of marketing, BBC Online), and Evan Rudowski (MD, Excite).

The GoJobsite brand name has evolved significantly since the company's conception in 1995 when it was known as Jobsite. The careful management of the developing brand has been a crucial factor in the company's success.

According to independent surveys into the online recruitment market, GoJobsite has consistently outperformed competing brands in what is widely judged to be the UK Internet's highest-spending and most competitive sector.
The launch of the new GoJobsite brand name in November 2000 was swiftly followed by record levels of traffic, candidate registrations and vacancies advertised. GoJobsite now offers over 200,000 new vacancies a month and attracts over 35,000 unique visitors per day.

Chris Newson GoJobsite's marketing director comments: The enduring strength of the GoJobsite brand is based on its ability to deliver high-quality results for both job hunters and recruiters, its understanding of the behaviour and needs of Internet users, and its experience of the recruitment industry.

This brand strength is echoed in the fact that 40 per cent of our visitors arrive through word of mouth recommendation, and that we have a repeat recruiter business rate of over 85 per cent. GoJobsite now intends to deepen these relationships and take our brand to new levels of success.

According to the Superbrands eCouncil, an eBrandLeader is defined as 'a brand that is exclusively dedicated to Internet related activity (that has) elevated themselves above most other ebrands through offering emotional and/or physical advantages which a critical mass of people want, recognise, and choose over alternatives on offer'.
