Now a bi-annual event, Softworld HR & Payroll returns for 11th year running

Now in its 11th year, Softworld has evolved to become the UK''s leading software solutions event for HR and payroll professionals, and from 2003 will take place twice a year.

Following the success of the Softworld HR & Payroll Forum, which took place last month attracting 1,260 visitors to the 15-stand event, Imark has announced that next year it will run two full-size HR and payroll events in London and Birmingham.

The forthcoming event will follow in the traditional format, comprising an exhibition of around 75 leading solutions providers, including Agresso Limited, Northgate Information Solutions, Peoplesoft UK Ltd, Sage (UK) Ltd and Snowdrop Systems Limited, as well as an educational programme comprising vendor seminars, breakfast briefing and masterclass sessions.

Product showcase

The showfloor will provide a platform for the demonstration of new products and services. Time and attendance specialist, Mitrefinch will be showcasing its latest products including a newly extended range of security and access control systems on stand 577. Mitrefinch''s award winning TMS system will also be displayed in addition to its complete portfolio of software systems, including TMS Time and Attendance, HR Manager Personnel Management, Flexipay Payroll, Access Control, FES Fire Evacuation, and Auto-ID Identity Card software.

On stand 356, Microsoft Business Solutions will be showing Empower, which is an integrated solution for the management of HR, payroll, recruitment and training.

Vendor seminars
Visitors to the show will see over 50 free seminars presented by exhibitors on four key themes: e-HR, Knowledge Management / reporting, Recruitment and Payroll.

Sessions will incorporate case studies to help visitors assess how well products could work for them, as well as free product demonstrations - giving visitors the chance to see the products in action.

Breakfast briefing and masterclass sessions
Hot topics, such as integrating the HR and payroll functions and employee self-service, will be addressed in the educational content with breakfast briefing and masterclass sessions running throughout the two-day event. Two theatres will cater for the audiences differing needs, with one focusing on HR and the other specifically on payroll. Speakers from leading organisations such as Atos KPMG Consulting, IBM Business Consulting Services (formerly PwC Consulting), PA Consulting Group and Watson Wyatt will host the sessions giving visitors an impartial take on the marketplace.

Softworld Buyers Guide
Pre-registered visitors will also receive a free copy of the Softworld Buyers Guide to HR & Payroll systems (RRP 120) which is invaluable in helping to research the right business software. The guide contains white papers, case studies, opinion pieces and comprehensive corporate and product profiles for all of the exhibiting companies.
