Expansion as recruitment specialists Workforce open Birmingham branch

A Midlands jobs provider has expanded for the first time into Birmingham - bringing new roles to the city centre and promising to help local businesses find the talent they need.

Workforce Recruitment, which employs almost 120 people across its nine recruitment centres in the region, has opened new offices at 36 Bennetts Hill and added five new account management and administration jobs.

The move into the second city, where the firm will provide job opportunities in manufacturing, logistics and professional driving, comes only weeks after Workforce opened its Solihull branch.

Richard Marsh, Operations Director of Workforce Staffing, said: “Opening a new recruitment centre in Birmingham is a big milestone for us and gives the perfect platform to support the region’s economic growth and help businesses in the city to find and recruit the best, most suitable people.

“We have an extensive branch network across the West Midlands and each one compliments the other in terms of what we can offer, our contacts with the business community and the markets we operate in.

“We are also bringing five new jobs with the opening of our Bennetts Hill office and are keen to get the next generation into the recruitment sector.

“We have already helped place people into full and part-time roles, especially in the city’s thriving manufacturing sector, and look forward to helping more individuals and businesses in the months and years ahead. It has been a great start for us.”

As part of the opening Mr Marsh added that Workforce will host an open day on Thursday 10th August for people looking for a career in recruitment. Directors and Managers from the company will be at the event which takes place between 10am and 6pm.

Workforce has centres in Solihull, Redditch, Worcester, Kidderminster, Rugby, Northampton, Coventry and at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. The firm will launch its tenth recruitment centre in Dudley this Summer.

In 2015 the Redditch-headquartered company, which was formed in 2003 by brothers Paul and Joe Alekna, was voted as one of the UK’s top 100 businesses to work for in the Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies survey.
