CSU adds digital TV to Prospects mix

.

Companies recruiting graduates can now reach potential employees through an innovative new channel, Prospects.TV.

Launched by CSU, the higher education Careers Service Unit, Prospects.TV is part of the established interactive service, The Job Channel, and is currently the only graduate channel on television.

Students can use remote control to source information, such as career planning and further study options, with complete listings and search facilities for graduate career opportunities in the UK also available. By registering details of their work preferences, students will receive a list of suitable jobs by email and, to help with job applications or interviews, employer profiles can be viewed, by industry sector or individual company.

According to CSUís chief executive, Mike Hill, Prospects.TV is a natural extension of the Prospects range of career publications and of prospects.ac.uk, the leading careers advice and guidance site for students and graduates. ìProspects.TV provides a new and diverse channel for students to access careers and vacancy information,î he said. ìIt enables CSU to extend its online presence built through prospects.ac.uk and ensures that we are communicating with graduates across every technology available to them.î

Free to existing directory profile advertisers, Prospects.TV has a potential audience of 15 million viewers per week.

ìDigital TV has the potential to achieve high penetration amongst students as over half now apply to local universities and study at home where they are more likely to have access. Many universities also now have digital TV installed and available to students,î concludes Hill.
