Lois Whittaker, general manager, CIPD said: ì We believe that this is the learning and networking event of the year.

ìDelegates will have a unique opportunity to develop their own understanding of how people add value at all levels and how to adopt business-focused, people-centred practices that put employees at the heart of strategy.î
Europeís largest management exhibition will run along side the conference and will be showcasing the latest innovations in personnel and development when it opens its doors to thousands of practitioners in October.

The CIPDís annual exhibition attracts over 7,000 visitors, marking it out as the key event for all those involved in the management and development of people. The exhibition will feature 330 leading providers of products and services in this expanding sector.

Covering five halls in the Harrogate International Centre, the exhibition provides an opportunity to pick up on new launches and developments - from web-based learning to employment law trends.

Exhibitors will be demonstrating tools and techniques across the whole spectrum of people management activities, reflecting the broad range of
concerns of todayís professionals.

Is the Internet an effective recruitment tool? What are the best techniques for developing leadership skills? What are the practicalities of managing organisational change? Specialist advice and on-stand demonstrations will help provide the answer to these and many other HR questions.

As well as plenty of exhibitor activities and networking opportunities, visitors can also attend a free programme of fringe seminars covering topics as diverse as drama-based training, psychometric testing and e-learning.
