Carpetright selects Bond for end-to-end HR, payroll and recruitment function

Bond Teamspirit will provide retailer with HR, Payroll and Time & Attendance software for use across 600 UK wide branches, whilst Bond Payroll Services will conduct outsourced payroll for the entire business

Carpetright PLC, the leading specialist floor covering retailer, has selected two divisions of Bond International Software to provide technology infrastructure and services for its entire HR, Payroll and Recruitment business functions, in a five year contract.

Bond Teamspirit, the provider of modular, yet fully integrated, HR, Payroll and Time & Attendance software, will supply a suite of HR and Managed Payroll Systems, along with modules for P11D, Recruitment and web-based Manager Access and Employee Self Service for use across its 600 nationwide branches.

Meanwhile, Bond Payroll Services, the BACS-registered payroll outsourcing division of Bond International Software, will provide outsourced payroll services to Carpetright, using the data input by the in-house payroll team via Teamspirit software.

Prior to contracting Bond International Software, Carpetright outsourced its payroll processing and relied upon antiquated spreadsheets and paper-based files in order to manage payroll information and keep HR, training and timesheet records updated. While the organisation was able to process payroll accurately, the necessary manual payroll and HR administration was time-consuming and occasionally prone to error.

In light of the upcoming changes in legislation with the introduction of RTI and Auto-Enrolment, Carpetright realised that the HR and payroll departments were not sufficiently equipped to perform the required processes adequately. Consequently, Carpetright began to look for a system which could comply with legislation, create efficient work processes, and provide a central, fully-accessible system across its 600 branches.

Additionally, Carpetright wanted an integrated system which would offer manager access and employee self service to each of its 2,500 store colleagues and managers – allowing employees to update their own information and submit requests, while managers would be able to deal with employee requests, timesheets and staff rotas through a central, eventually paperless, system.
