Berry Recruitment Group (BRG) has continued its rapid expansion with the acquisition of London-based The Plus Team.
It consolidates BRG’s position in the capital and brings extra turnover of £1.5m, moving the company’s annual turnover past the £50m mark.
The purchase comes after last year’s acquisitions of London’s PRC Employment and Mainline Resourcing (including specialist division Express Rail Services).
The Plus Team specialises in both temporary and permanent recruitment across office support, management, HR and marketing roles with a broad range of clients.
Already the new owners have moved the staff into prestigious offices in Hanover Square, Mayfair.
The Plus Team began life in 1975 when Lyn Cecil started Secretaries Plus; it was rebranded in 2013 to take into account its widening area of operation.
Lyn is well known in the industry, having been a member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) executive committee for more than 30 years and president of its training body.
In 2011 she appeared as a 'secret millionaire' in Islington for the popular Channel 4 TV show The Secret Millionaire.

Lyn Cecil and The Plus Team’s managing director Tina Rycroft said they were "excited" by the deal as it gave their expert team new opportunities.
Lyn said: “Merging with Berry has felt a very natural, easy progression from the very first meeting with Berry’s highly-regarded chairman Tony Berry to the final handover at the beginning of this year, just eight weeks later.”
BRG, headquartered in St Albans, Herts, now operates from 30 branches across England and Wales, employing more than 150 people.
The purchase price for The Plus Team has not been disclosed.
