A Tier One talent provider to some of the UK’s largest automotive OEMs is expecting to significantly reduce its administration times and build a scalable growth infrastructure after investing in the latest recruitment technology platform, Mercury xRM.

Engineering and Production Management Consultants Ltd was established 30 years ago and has since become a long-term supplier of recruitment services to such businesses as Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, and Rolls Royce.  The new solution is expected to enable the company to further capitalise on its current position in the market, and speed up the recruitment process by automating a number of manual processes. The new cloud based system will replace the company’s existing system, which was designed by Engineering and Production Management Consultants Ltd’s Managing Director, Mr John Stringer, when the company was first established.

In addition to automating a majority of recruitment processes, Engineering and Production Management Consultants Ltd also sought a solution that would communicate data from other business critical applications. The flexible Mercury xRM platform seamlessly integrates with a number of Microsoft applications including Office 365. Julie Dorrell, Director at Engineering and Production Management Consultants Ltd, explained the importance of selecting a solution that was built on Microsoft foundations.

“When looking to invest in recruitment software the landscape can be confusing, especially as this was something completely new to us. The fact that Mercury xRM is developed by a Microsoft Gold Partner, means that we have not only selected a solution that addresses many of our business needs out-the-box, but we also benefit from the leading technology and familiar interface of Microsoft applications.”

Engineering and Production Management Consultants Ltd researched a number of different recruitment solutions before selecting Mercury xRM. As a recruitment agency that often has 300 open vacancies at any one time, it was important that the new system was quick and easy to implement, allowing the company to quickly scale up its capacity.

Julie Dorrell, further explained why Mercury xRM was the obvious choice. She said: “We had actually been in the process of researching recruitment solutions since 2013, but felt there wasn’t a product that truly reflected the way we work. What struck us about Mercury xRM was the intuitive way the software operates, it is incredibly user-friendly and easy to understand; what’s more the solution is scalable, meaning it will evolve with us as our needs require.”
