This weekend Austin Fraser, a specialist IT, engineering and life sciences recruitment consultancy, completed their annual charity bike ride, in aid of the Berkshire Community Foundation.

The team of nine took on a gruelling 240 mile road race, starting in Manchester and ending up back at their Reading headquarters. Armed with nothing but their bikes, some spare inner tubes, pumps and OS maps, this was a completely unsupported challenge; once the team hit the road they were on their own!

Austin Fraser have been raising funds for the Berkshire Community Foundation. The charity work with local groups to tackle issues within the community both now and in the future.  From the elderly, to young children, to those with long term illnesses or disabilities, their expert advice ensures that donations go to those who need it most, supporting the smaller groups.

Pete Hart, CEO at Austin Fraser, was among the cyclists, ‘I’m extremely proud of our team’s efforts, in by far the toughest charity ride bike we’ve done in the past 7 years. The team dug deep, using their grit and determination to complete this fantastic achievement’.

If you would like to support the team, there’s still time to donate via their Local Giving page.
