Alexander Daniels aims to double following software investment

A specialist recruitment agency has set its sights on more than doubling the size of its business after investing in recruitment software from Mercury xRM

A specialist recruitment agency has set its sights on more than doubling the size of its business after investing in recruitment software from Mercury xRM.

Alexander Daniels, which was founded in 2010, and specialises in finance and accounting, corporate governance, engineering and healthcare, expects to complete implementation of the advanced recruitment software across the business by January 2016. The solution is already live in the company’s Barcelona office, with the UK office to follow.

The need to provide the senior management team at Alexander Daniels with robust management information was an integral factor of the deal, and Mercury xRM is expected to more efficiently highlight KPIs of the business as it aims to more than double its headcount of 25 by 2017.

The company’s previous recruitment software had become legacy, and no longer integrated with a number of key third party applications. Mercury xRM not only offers full integration with the full suite of Microsoft applications, but the cloud based solution will also facilitate improved real-time communication between both the UK and global teams.

Nick Pearce, Director at Alexander Daniels, explained why the company sought a recruitment solution which was scalable. He said: “Our previous system offered limited integration. As a result, our team often worked outside of the system, which meant that reporting was difficult. Mercury xRM offers greater reporting and dashboard capabilities, which will be fundamental as we expand the business.

“Having rapidly grown from a team of three to 25 over just five years, we needed a recruitment solution that would enable our management team to make quicker and better business decisions, which would take us to the next stage of our growth ambitions. This is something we are confident Mercury xRM will do.”

As a company that works across a number of specialist recruitment sectors, it was important that Alexander Daniels selected a solution that increases its efficiencies, driving productivity across the entire business.

Chris Kendrick, Sales Director at Mercury xRM commented on the deal. He said: “What’s really exciting about Alexander Daniels is that they are already an established recruitment business, however, they recognise that in order to be more efficient, they require more effective technology, which is where Mercury xRM comes in.

“This is a common trend we are noticing across the industry, as recruitment agencies are becoming more curious as to how technology can benefit their business. No longer is technology a one off investment, technology providers are now engaging in long term relationships with their customers, to help them achieve their business goals.”

The investment in recruitment software from Mercury xRM is the latest development in Alexander Daniels’ ambitious growth plans, after the company recently completed the acquisition of a new building in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter which will become their Head Office in the new year.
