Yourfoodjob.com, the UK’s market leading job board specifically for the food and beverage sector is delighted to announce it is the first recruitment website of its kind to move to the new Responsive design platform.

Now in its ninth year of successful trading, this is the third major platform upgrade in just five years, firmly cementing it as the food & beverage recruitment portal of choice for advertisers, candidates and the leading search engines too.

Tony Allen, Director said “We’ve constantly led from the front in our sector because unlike most niche job boards, Yourfoodjob.com prides itself on its status as a true ‘online-only’ offer with no print distractions. This means we’re constantly able to invest and move quickly when new technologies present themselves. Consider the explosion of mobile devices in recent years, it’s no surprise Google’s new preferred platform is Responsive.  Thankfully with Madgex as our platform partner who are always ahead of the game, we discussed this exciting new option. It was obviously the way forward but without the need for any major board meetings or discuss as a committee, we recognised the opportunity and moved immediately. Just six weeks later, food and beverage recruiters now have access to the first responsive job board for their sector.”

With nearly 80,000 visits each month by the industry’s top talent, the move to the new technology is already paying dividends with mobile traffic up 100% in 6 weeks. Equating to nearly 25% of all site traffic.

Richard Green, the Yourfoodjob Madgex Account Manager said: “At the point in which discussions were initiated around responsive design, Yourfoodjob’s traffic from a mobile/tablet device was already growing 42% quarter on quarter so it was an obvious step to make.  It’s fantastic to see a digital business reacting to their audience’s needs and providing their customers with a platform to help grow their online reach.”
