This month has seen the launch of a new Bowling Industry website: www.tenpinbowlingjobs.com

This specialist website has been established to create a single point of contact for bowling employers and job seekers. It offers opportunities for bowling centres to advertise their jobs and for job seekers to register and upload their CV’s to be viewed by potential employers.

Tenpin Bowling Jobs was launched by Bowling Vision Limited. They are the exclusive distributor for Brunswick products in the UK and Eire, and distributors of Pinspotter Parts a European brand of replacement parts for AMF equipment.

“As a central hub in the bowling industry we receive numerous calls from Bowling Centres looking for staff, and people looking for work. We try to help make connections, but it’s not always possible. We already support bowling centres by providing them with their parts and supplies, so it’s a natural progression for us to extend our services and satisfy the demand.” Jack Trend – Product Specialist, Bowling Vision Ltd

Until this point, job offerings for the bowling industry have been spread across a variety of mediums. Recruitment of experienced bowling professionals often happens through word of mouth. When people aren’t lucky enough to find good people, the detrimental effect is a lack of experience in skilled jobs such as the technical and management roles. Low standards of operational management, machine maintenance and lane conditions are often the causes of bad customer experiences. The ambition of this new service is to support the Bowling Industry by making the recruitment process more efficient.

“I have worked in Bowling since before the days of the internet, seeing this development of improved communication is fascinating. Having a dedicated job site is a natural progression of technology, and an exciting prospect for the industry” John Ashbridge – Chairman, Tenpin Bowling Proprietors Association

The project has already been supported by some of the largest bowling chains in the UK who have signed up to the service for the launch. It has also received sponsorship from www.theactionmanager.com a web based software solution used by Tenpin Bowling Centres to maintain Health & Safety compliancy
