TheLadders.co.uk launches advice book for executive job seekers

Step-by-step guide introduced as job-seeker numbers on TheLadders.co.uk soars

Executive jobseekers across the UK can now benefit from a new book to help guide them through the career search process. ‘Your Executive Job Search - A Step-by-Step Guide to Success’ has been released by £50K+ careers site TheLadders.co.uk to help those on the hunt for senior jobs secure a new role in 2010.

The electronic book is available as a download to all premium members of TheLadders.co.uk and contains information and tools to help navigate them through the intricacies of the executive job search.

With chapters covering interviewing, planning, networking, recruiters, job fairs, CVs and personal branding, the guide covers every possible situation that the senior job seeker faces. Supported by insight and advice from leading recruitment industry experts, the book aims to help the executive candidate navigate the process with inside knowledge and avoid the many dilemmas faced when searching for a new position.

The launch of ‘Your Executive Job Search’ coincides with many executives using the New Year to rethink their careers. TheLadders.co.uk has seen more than 50,000 new £50k+ members join the site in January bringing the number of registered members to 360,000, a 125% increase over 2009.

Derek Pilcher, Managing Director of TheLadders.co.uk says ‘The job search process is more complex than many people imagine. With the senior job market still showing signs of strain, executives need to adopt a 'proven' job seeking strategy. This book takes the insight from TheLadders scientific review of what works and what doesn't work, and aims to position the senior job seeker with the knowledge of how to best navigate and accelerate the process. This really is an A to Z guide for executives wanting to be in the best position to get to the best roles.’
