scotsman.com/jobs today launches a major new advertising campaign to further increase its growing audience reach in the Scottish market.

With a media spend of £2 million over the next four months the campaign has been devised by creative agency 60 Watt with media planning by Feather Brooksbank. It uses a number of channels including radio advertising, outdoor posters, online, search, print and email.

The theme of the multi-execution campaign has been inspired by the website postsecrets.com and taps into the ‘secret’ world of emotions experienced by jobseekers aspiring to achieve happiness, prosperity and job satisfaction with a new career.

Peter Mill, creative director of 60 Watt says: “This is a wonderful opportunity to get inside the heads of jobseekers and explore the very real hopes, fears, highs and lows experienced by everyone who aspires to improve their life situation by pursuing a better career.”

Initially targeting Edinburgh and the Lothians, the campaign will be rolled out across other Scottish regions later in the year.

Commenting, Sarah Chater, digital marketing consultant working with scotsman.com said: “It is important to engage with jobseekers at every point of their journey. scotsman.com/jobs offers jobseekers and recruiters a range of sophisticated tools to help with the whole recruitment process. The launch of this campaign will enable scotsman.com/jobs to attract a breadth of candidates online giving the recruiter a greater choice and the best chance of finding the right candidate. Equally it will give the jobseeker more opportunity to find the right job.”

Henry Faure Walker, general manager of The Scotsman Publications Ltd, said: “We launched scotsman.com/jobs onto a new technology platform in January of this year and have been delighted by the growth in traffic. With the site now well established, we are deploying over the next four months a £2 million advertising campaign which will enable us to extend our reach still further providing Scottish job seekers and recruiters with an extremely powerful platform for their recruitment needs.”
