An invitation is being extended to businesses across the Greater Peterborough area to take part in the annual salary survey in a bid to provide the most comprehensive snapshot of local employees’ pay and benefits.

The Peterborough Local Market Salary Survey is now in its 13th year and, during that time, has become a vital reference tool for businesses. The details of thousands of employees’ salary and benefits packages are collated and analysed with the final report giving companies the information they need to remain both competitive and realistic in the current employment market.

Specialist reward consultants PAYdata Ltd will once more be producing the report, in conjunction with Anne Corder Recruitment (ACR), the independent agency which launched the survey in 1998.

Every company which takes part receives a comprehensive report showing the remuneration packages of employees in a wide range of roles across many sectors of industry.

“The Salary Survey provides HR teams with the information they need to benchmark their business against others,” said ACR recruitment partner Nel Woolcott. “As the economy moves out of recession, the recruitment market is showing a positive upturn. It’s vital that in these conditions companies have as much relevant, current information as possible to ensure their HR practices remain practical and relevant.”

Employers - from small to large businesses – are invited to fill in a strictly confidential questionnaire by email or fax. The results will be compiled and a report produced and sent to all participants, free of charge, in August. The report is available to non-participants for a fee.

“The Peterborough Salary Survey has always proved very popular among local businesses and we expect this year to be no different,” said Tim Kellett, data services manager with PAYdata. “Last year the survey recorded information more than 4,800 employees – a significant number that ensured the results were worthwhile and incredibly beneficial to participating companies.”
