Harvey Nash, the global executive search and leadership services firm, has announced the expansion of its Asia Pacific business by acquiring Beaumont Japan, an executive search firm operating across the Asia Pacific region.

Harvey Nash acquired Beaumont Japan in response to increasing client demand in the region for support with senior hires.  The newly acquired Harvey Nash Japan business will work closely with Harvey Nash's network throughout the Asia Pacific region, and globally.

The Japanese economy is currently going through massive change, driven largely through the economic-growth policy “Abenomics”.  With its aging population and dwindling workforce, the changing demographics of the market require a shift in mentalities to create social change.  Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has outlined a goal to fill 30% of Japan’s leadership positions with women by 2020, and Harvey Nash has ambitious plans to be part of driving the diversity agenda forward.  Harvey Nash is recognised for creating world-leading initiatives, such as the Inspire network for female executives and the Women’s Directorship Programme – a board readiness programme created in partnership with The University of Hong Kong, designed to address the existing worldwide boardroom gender imbalance.

Nick Marsh, Managing Director of Harvey Nash Executive Search APAC, said:

"As Harvey Nash Executive Search expands across Asia Pacific we are delighted to welcome Beaumont Japan to the fold.  We are excited about the added value the team will bring to our clients across the region.  The company consists of a smart team with deep expertise in the technology and industrial sectors and an established history for quality and delivery. We look forward to being part of shaping Japan’s diversity agenda.”

As a result of the acquisition, Harvey Nash will be bring its renowned expertise to help companies search for the right talent across a number of sectors, including technology, industry, financial services, consumer, healthcare and digital.

George Johnson, Co-Managing Director of Harvey Nash Japan (previously Beaumont) said:

“With our team’s deep expertise in the technology and industry sectors and the fact we are closely aligned to Harvey Nash in terms of culture and values, this acquisition is a perfect match.  We look forward to implementing our planned growth strategy and supporting the Group’s continued success.”

Jonathan Falconer, Co-Managing Director of Harvey Nash Japan (previously Beaumont) said:

“Being acquired by the leading executive search firm Harvey Nash is a fantastic opportunity for us as a business and for our clients.  Harvey Nash offers unprecedented access to a seamless global network of talented consultants and research specialists.

Japan joins Harvey Nash Executive Search’s current Asia Pacific operations in Hong Kong, Vietnam and Australia.  In the next three years, Harvey Nash expects to double the revenue of the existing Japan operations and plans to add additional service lines, such as interim management and board services.
