The job board which focuses on first time job seeking graduates, graduate-jobs.com, has launched a site with an even more specific demographic – graduate-women.com.
The job board saw its hard launch on the 5th July and has already seen significant interest from both recruiters and graduates. Companies and agencies, who are already existing graduate-jobs.com customers, have job adverts ready to go live next month. Additionally lot of new customers have expressed a great deal of interest. On the graduate side, within three weeks graduate-women.com had 1,184 registrations and the number of new registrations is increasing every day.
Operations Director Gerry Wyatt, explained why he chose to launch the UK’s first graduate website focused on women: “When we started graduate-jobs.com it was to create a place where first time job seekers who had finished university could look for employment safe in the knowledge that employers were looking for people just like them – the positions advertised were for graduates only. At the same time it provided a place where recruiters could search for the best graduate talent in the country.
“The success of this model coupled with the fact that many employers are looking to diversify their workforce meant that graduate-women.com seemed the obvious next step. The site provides networking, advice and of course jobs for graduate women.”
All of the jobs are of course open to men as well, but research has shown that a diverse workforce is a more productive one. “Many companies have found themselves with an imbalanced workforce that is predominantly male,” said Gerry, “graduate-women.com will provide a service which allows them to address this imbalance, creating more organisational success.
“We expect to see great things from graduate-women.com on both the graduates’ side and the recruiters’. It’s an exciting next step for the graduate-jobs.com family.”
