Gradcracker, the careers website for engineering students, has created an iPhone app to enable students to access job opportunities wherever and whenever they want. The Gradcracker app is available now in the Apple iPhone Store and is free to download.
Gradcracker believes that the app is a first in graduate recruitment and, when general graduate careers media realise how useful it is to students on the move, that it will be become commonplace for them to access career information without having to firstly find a computer terminal.
As well as letting engineering students browse work placement and graduate opportunities, the app also enables them to read company profiles, blogs and advice articles and check forthcoming careers events around the UK.
Gradcracker’s Senior Web Developer, Mark Beech, said “As a website aimed at technology students, we always try to be the most innovative so we are proud to be the first graduate recruitment website to launch an iPhone app. We worked hard to make sure that the app is as easy to use and navigate as Gradcracker itself. Now that our audience has been freed from the need to be at a computer, we expect a further increase in visitor traffic.”
