Barzone Raises a Glass to Success of New Site

Barzone.co.uk, the leading UK job board for the pub and bar industry has revealed their site revamp and technical upgrade

Barzone.co.uk, the leading UK job board for the pub and bar industry has revealed their site revamp and technical upgrade. The new platform allows Barzone far richer client recruitment marketing than the previous version. Client showcase areas are now fully interactive micro recruitment sites which allow video and full client branding enabling employers to use the site as a career portal.

Barzone.co.uk is the leading specialist job board for positions in licensed retail in London and across the UK. Working hand in hand with the BII and the Publican, Barzone.co.uk forms a focal point for careers in licensed retail. Attracting over 30,000 unique users per month, the new site is already showing rapid growth, with March figures attracting an all-time high.

Barzone works with leading landlords and pub companies to promote a fantastic selection of jobs including everything from bar staff to senior management positions. Clients such a Spirit Group, Novus Leisure, Mitchells and Butlers as well as broad leisure industry clients such as David Lloyd and hotel chains including Runnymead and Village Hotels all take advantage Barzones’ focused niche website.

CEO Marc Moreso comments, “Since launch in 2007 the site has remained relatively untouched. Our new branding and updated technology helps future proof the site and provides employers with the core technology necessary for successful recruitment campaigns.. Despite reports of a slump in the market for pubs and bar, Barzone has grown consistently year-on-year, and the future looks very promising for those pursuing careers in the pub and bar industry”

Back End Made Easy

The back end systems in Barzone have been built with licensed multiple retailers in mind. Simple tools store all the clients locations and all job descriptions in order to allow the creation of multiple jobs with no more than a couple of clicks. This system also allows for simplistic addition of jobs from excel which require only location and job title details.

Barzone recognises the individual needs of the sectors within the licensed retail sector. With bar staff alone there are several different industry avenues; late license; wet led; food led; mixologists; bartenders; flair bartenders and cellar management. Job requirements all necessitate very different training and experience which in turn allows Barzone to understand the client’s needs so that Barzone can deliver the right calibre of job seeker through affiliations and marketing.
