Graduate recruitment specialist Milkround Online has appointed two new senior managers to drive the business forward in 2011 and beyond.
Alexandra Sydney has taken on the role of Marketing Manager and Afzal Valiji has been recruited as Head of IT.
Alex will define and implement a Milkround Marketing Strategy that builds on its leading position within the graduate market. One of her first projects will be managing the launch of the Milkround ATS, a new best-in-class online application system developed in-house at Milkround Online.
Alex was Head of Group Marketing at executive search company Burns Carlton where she was responsible for marketing across the group.
She said: “I’m delighted to be taking on the challenge of Marketing Manager. I have joined at a very exciting time and I am looking forward to helping to take the business forward. We have an excellent graduate proposition and I plan to develop a marketing strategy that builds on our leading position in the market.”
Afzal Valiji will look after the technology teams at Milkround Online. He is now responsible for the strategic technology roadmap of Milkround, identifying and implementing technologies to better deliver graduate recruitment opportunities to our users and developing dedicated software solutions. He joins having previously been Head of IT Development for EMAPs Insight division and Head of IT for Planet Retail.
Afzal said: “Being a purely online business, the IT role is key to Milkround Online. We continually look at technology and trends to better deliver graduate opportunities and develop systems, such as the Milkround ATS, to reduce cost and increase efficiency when carrying out recruitment. I’m looking forward to implementing further new developments and continuing the successes of Milkround Online’s top in-house IT team.”
