Two key appointments have been announced at Danbro Accounting -one of the fastest growing accountancy service providers in the UK.

The Danbro Group, based in Lytham, Lancashire, and London, has appointed Katie Allen, 26, Group Operations Director –  two years after joining the award winning firm as a temp to ‘fill in’ time ahead of a planned move to India.

Helen Broughton, co-founder of Danbro and Director of People and Standards, said: “Katie’s rise to Group Operations Director is no less than she deserves. We need dynamic individuals of the calibre of Katie prepared to grow with us – and help lead the way.”

Noted Lancashire ‘deal maker’ Rob Kenmare, who also joined Danbro in 2013, has been appointed Group Finance Director. He joined Danbro in November 2013 as Group Development Director.

MD Damian Broughton explained: “Strengthening our management team has been our focus over recent years.  We are one of the forerunners in servicing the accounting needs of the temporary workforce sector. We need to prepare for the next phase of our story.

“We embarked on our five year plan last year with the intention of getting the company up to £500m turnover, grow our workforce to 300-350 and almost double clients from 8000 to 15,000.

“Rob is a pivotal part of that process. He’s a strategic thinker. He helped with a key acquisition that has enabled us to have a fully operational London base in addition to our office in the City which regularly hosts recruitment and allied trade events.

“We believe wholeheartedly in the Northern Powerhouse but must have a presence in the London area to serve the high volume of clients that we have in the southern counties.”

Mr Kenmare added: “We now have some idea of how proposed legislative changes in our market place will affect us and what our response will be.

“The industry needs to concur on the best way to provide services for recruitment agencies and end users.

“The contractor market or contingent workforce is here to stay and will continue to grow and need us.”
