Scottish recruitment firm Eden Scott strengthens its directorate with the appointment of Ian Grant. He joins from Search Consultancy, where he was Director of Engineering Services and IT.

Ian first met the founders of Eden Scott, Guy Martin, Chris Logue and Michelle Lownie, when he worked for Melville Craig in 1998. He then went on to work for other recruitment companies, progressing his way up the ranks to Director Level.

With a recruitment career spanning almost two decades, Ian brings a wealth of experience to Eden Scott’s Glasgow business. In his new role, he will help build fee income and brand presence across professional services and high tech markets.

Eden Scott was established in 2003 and has since grown to become one of Scotland’s leading independent recruitment businesses, becoming a member of SME 300 and turning over £16 million.

In making the announcement, Guy Martin said: “As the Scottish recruitment market continues to rapidly evolve, it is important that we have the right leadership at the helm to accelerate our growth in the West of Scotland. Ian is a superb addition to our Glasgow team and the perfect person to build Eden Scott’s presence and brand in the region, whilst also bringing his business expertise to bear on other parts of the Eden Scott company.”

“Together I am confident that we will continue Eden Scott’s success throughout Scotland”.

Grant said the decision to move to Eden Scott was down to the long term career opportunity and the future growth plans for the company in the West of Scotland.

Ian Grant commented: “Eden Scott is an outstanding business with an enviable reputation. The chance to join the team and elevate the brand’s success in Glasgow was an opportunity that I could not refuse”.
