New Sales Director heads up list of fresh recruits at Bright Purple

He joins the thriving Edinburgh-based company from Rise Recruitment, part of Murray Capital, where he was Group Sales Director and will be responsible for all UK sales activity for Bright Purpleís offices in Edinburgh and London

IT and Financial Services Recruitment specialists, Bright Purple Resourcing has announced the appointment of Neil Lafferty in the new role of Sales Director. He joins the thriving Edinburgh-based company from Rise Recruitment, part of Murray Capital, where he was Group Sales Director and will be responsible for all UK sales activity for Bright Purple’s offices in Edinburgh and London.

Lafferty, who started his recruitment sector career in 1997 with ASA International, is joined at Bright Purple by other new recruits including, Katie Gilmore, who will head up the company’s Open Market Contracts Team and Ben Stanfield a 10 year veteran of the recruitment industry who joins as a Senior Consultant. These appointments, along with additional support staff and consultant hires, brings Bright Purple’s team numbers to over 50 people between their UK and Asia offices.

The new recruits follow April’s annual results from Bright Purple which saw a dramatic rise in their turnover – up from £18.6m to £37m – and profits which rose to £1.4m. The company also announced the opening of its first foreign office in Singapore last month which will target the south-east Asia market.

Bright Purple’s Managing Director, Nick Price said: “Given the phenomenal growth we are experiencing it is vital for us to bolster our sales operation and I’m delighted I have secured the services of Neil Lafferty to take on this newly created Sales Director role. Neil has a fantastic reputation in the industry where he has delivered exceptional results over the last 14 years.

“I’m also very pleased to welcome the new faces, who also bring a wealth of industry experience with them, to our Open Market team. Their addition to the business, along with Ben Stanfield who has joined the Key Accounts team, will add strength and depth to our expanding team as we continue towards our goal of becoming a £100m company by 2014.”
