An industrial recruitment specialist is eyeing continued growth following a record breaking 2013.

gap personnel, one of the UK’s Top 10 industrial labour providers, recorded record revenues of £98m between January and December 2013.

January has already marked a dynamic start for the group who recently appointed new midlands regional director Paul Hipkiss.

Paul joins gap with 14 years’ experience in recruitment at a number of agencies, recently overseeing 10 branches across the UK.

Paul, 35 from Derby, will be leading the company’s Birmingham, Stoke, Telford and Wolverhampton branches into 2014 as the company looks to invest strongly in the midlands region.

The midlands region will see a number of changes early in 2014 with both the Birmingham and Stoke branches looking to relocate to new premises having outgrown their current bases in Hall Green and Hanley respectively.

Operations Director Matthew Hull commented on Hipkiss’ appointment saying; "I am delighted to welcome Paul to gap personnel.  It is rare to find someone with Paul's level of experience and skill at regional level.  He has huge credibility in the recruitment industry and brings a very successful track record with him.

Paul is a pivotal appointment as we aim to deliver our ambitious company growth plans."

Paul commented to say "I am delighted to be joining gap personnel and I am looking forward to putting my stamp on the Midlands region.  I feel I can add a lot of value to the business and one of my main strengths is getting the best out of my teams by supporting and developing them to reach their maximum potential.

I am joining the business at an exciting time and very much looking forward to meeting everyone and getting started."
